September 12 - Friday

We are on our way!
Kit, Tim, Cindy, Tom & Bill
Going on the red eye to Miami.

September 13 - Saturday

Getting some sleep in the military room of the Miami Airport.

Bill left a few hours before us on another flight.

Heading towards Puerto Rico. Miami below Shallow water and small islands for miles and miles. The night sky over the earth.
We got to the airport and our plane left without us. The next flight out would be next Saturday. So we are trying to decide what to do. Whether to return back to Washington or could we get a flight on another airline to Bonaire. The airline is going to put us up at a Best Western.

September 15 - Puerto Rico to St. Maarten Island

Puerto Rico Airport
Leaving Puerto Rico for St. Maarten Island
St. Maarten Island Looking out of our room's balcony door . Going to lunch.
Tom & Cindy snorkeling
Longfin Pompano - they were all over but you couldn't see them without putting your face in the water with the goggles on.
Sunshine on the bottom.
Leaf fish
A Barracuda - Kit came up so excited saying about how many teeth it had. She was having a hard time talking while treading water and her eyes were so big - I thought she was afraid. It got me nervous when it turn towards me. Wow what a gift to get to see this. It was at least four feet long.
Lizard Fish - Tom kept telling me to watch out cause I was almost stepping on it. I had know idea what it was until later and seeing this picture.
Kit and I were having so much fun. Getting to go to places we never dreamed of.
Tomorrow morning we are suppose to fly to Bonaire, yeah! This was a beautiful island with many friendly people.

September 16 - St Maarten to Curacao

We got up early in the morning and headed for the airport. While waiting for the people working behind the counter to come, I looked up and saw the sign said ‘CANCELED’. Tom spent the next few hours finding us another flight out.

Tim, Kit and I walked back to the hotel to eat breakfast.

Then Tim & Kit watched the luggage,

while Tom & I walk down to the beach.A crane by the runway This is so true the people here are very friendly. Our flight out on another airline is delayed, just praying it doesn't change to canceled. We arrived on the island of Curacao ran to our gate (NO-ONE). A man watching a stairway called and a lady came to get us. Thinking that the plane was in a different place we ran with our luggage following the lady here.

We were dipping wet as if we had been in the shower with our clothes on. Our plane isn't leaving (flight canceled, no reason)- we are spending the night again and flying out early the next morning. Hot that is an understatement.
