September 17 - Curacao to Bonaire

Tom & Cindy's 31st Anniversary
Once again we get up before dawn.
And wait. And wait in the heat that is hotter then anything that I’ve ever felt. The fans above are just for keeping the air moving.

After getting through security, the wait begins again. The planes headed for Aruba and Miami leave and now our flight is delayed, again. Just praying that it doesn't change to CANCELED.
After a few hours our gate is changed. While just sitting and waiting - the pilots and flight attendance come. They walk down the walkway and come back asking the people at the gate, “Where is the plane?” My heart sank but I thought ‘if they are here that is good’. Here is the second pilot on the phone asking about the plane.
Then they are just waiting for the plane, too.

Well the plane arrives and we head on, again.
Island of Curacao below
Some really cool clouds - the setting on the camera made them purplish- blue.
Bonaire below looking south toward the salt flats. YEAH!!!!! We are here!!! Five days and three islands later.

I got a bad sunburn yesterday walking to the beach from the airport. So always remember to put on sunscreen when you go to the airport on the islands. Haha
The men went diving - while Kit & I unpacked and organized our stuff.

Our place - love the colors.
The back porch where we hang stuff to dry.
We are meeting Bill’s brother Charlie. Bill got to fly out of Miami on an earlier flight and spent the last few days with his brother. Starting the barbeque on the porch thinking that it was going to rain. Looking at the day's dive pictures
Tim cooking the steaks. Mmmm,Mmmm were they good!
